We all know about Valentine's Day; it's the day where you pass out chocolate, give out cards, and show affection. But have you heard of White Day? It's a month after on March 14th that is commonly celebrated in Korea. On this day, the gentlemen payback to the ladies who gave them gifts on Valentine's Day. In other words, you can call it an "answer day."

Valentine's Day - 14th of Feb, White Day-14th of March, Black Day- 14th of April, Rose Day - 14th of May, Kiss Day - 14th of June, Silver Day - 14th of July, Chilseok Day - 20th of August, Green Day - 14th of August, Photo Day - 14th of September, Wine Day - 14th of October, Movie Day - 14th of November, Hug Day - 14th of December.

Husband and wife's Day - 21st of May, Love Conquers All Day - June 3. 

On Chilseok, Koreans traditionally take baths for good health. In addition, it is traditional to eat wheat flour noodles and grilled wheat cake. Chilseok is known as the last chance to enjoy wheat-based foods, since the cold winds after Chilseok ruin the good scent of wheat, making these dishes a must have for the dinner table. People also used to eat wheat pancake called miljeonbyeong (밀전병), and sirutteok, which is a steamed rice cake covered with azuki beans.
